1. Business Research Background

The “Bike MS fundraising event” is one of the largest “charity cycling series” in the United States. It is organized by the “National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS)”. It is relevant to state that NMSS is a “non-profit organization” (nationalmssociety, 2024). It supports “research”, “services” for the people affected by “Multiple Sclerosis (MS)” (nationalmssociety, 2024). MS is a chronic disease that interrupts communication between the “brain” and the other parts of the body (Benedict et al. 2020). The same causes significant physical and neurological “impairments” of the individuals. NMSS aims to “generate” adequate awareness and “raise” funds in order to find a “cure”.

Referring to the information provided, the “Bike MS series” is a significant source of “funding” for “NMSS”. It generally engages over 70,000 participants annually (msspbike, 2024). It is expected that this “research” will provide NMSS with “actionable insights” into the “occupations”, “industries” and “team dynamics”.
