Assessment Description
This assessment requires an Excel data file (provided) and case study background (provided). All requirements are to be completed by adding to and adapting the Excel data file.
Instructions
• You are required to access supplied data sets (provided in a single Excel file) and complete the assigned tasks by adding additional worksheets to the workbook. Your adapted file is to be uploaded to myKBS.
• Your report, including summary notes and evaluation, is to be uploaded via Turnitin.
Detailed instructions:
PHASE 1
a) Prepare appropriate reports that will support the evaluation of data in Phase 1.
There are many reports that may be produced from the data provided. You are to select reports that will help address the proprietor’s concerns. This is to be completed in Excel.
b) For one of your reports, outline the steps taken to select, prepare and format the report. This should be presented in dot point format.
c) Prepare a brief written summary of your evaluation of the data in Phase 1. Each of the reports that you have prepared should be used as the basis for an expanded summary note including:
o A statement explaining the information in your report (i.e., numerical)
o Why the information is important to the business
o A description and explanation of a suggested improvement to the data collected (may relate to inputs, processes, or outputs)
PHASE 2
a) Prepare appropriate reports that will support the evaluation of data in Phase 2. With additional data provided, you are to select reports that will help address the proprietor’s concerns. This is to be completed in Excel.
b) For one of your reports (that is different from reports produced for Phase 1), outline the steps taken to select, prepare and format the report. This should be brief and presented in dot point format.
c) Prepare a brief written summary of your evaluation of the data in Phase 2. Each of the reports that you have prepared should be used as the basis for an expanded summary note including:
o A statement explaining the information in your report (i.e., numerical)
o Why the information is important to the business
o A description and explanation of a suggested improvement to the data collected (may relate to inputs, processes, or outputs)

PHASE 1
(b) Presentation of the steps which have been considered in the process of selection, preparation and formatting the report in Excel
In this section of the report, the complete development of the steps that have been allowed for the purposes of preparing, selecting, as well as formatting the overall report particularly for “Number of Customers by Region” are clearly described here.
- Step 1:
The complete preparation of the data or information has been thoroughly allowed here as a part of step 1 ensuring the overall data must be organised efficiently with respect to the columns and rows that can support the overall evaluation process.

During collecting the data or information of the customers, the data personalization is one of the effective approaches that can allow the business to develop better understanding about their customer preferences (Zanker, Rook & Jannach, 2019). Analysis 3: Month Revenue ($)

Following the concern of the owner of CCC, this analysis is completely focused on highlighting the monthly revenue that has been developed by the business of CCC. Considering the below table, it has been evaluated that, in the month of November, 2022, comparatively high revenue has been obtained by the business of CCC, whereas, it was down in the initial month, July, 2022.

For this instance, the complete analysis of the month wise revenues of CCC indicates the growing demand of their services or products in the market that can help in achieving long term growth in business.

Big data analysis can be allowed with the help of incorporating AI and machine learning is truly profitable in managing the vast amount of data in the limited time span (Attaran & Deb, 2018). Hence, the efficacy of utilising AI and machine learning is recommended here for CCC in their future data collection, analysis, as well as mining cases.
PHASE 2
(b) Presentation of the steps which have been considered in the process of selection, preparation and formatting the report in Excel
The steps which have been followed for the purpose of effectively developing the Excel report related to ‘Vehicle Type Sales by Region’ based on the given Excel file and the case study in the context of selection, preparation and formatting have been presented below:
- Step 1:
The first step which was considered to be followed is completely aligned with the effective organisation of the data within the structure that supports effective analysis and evaluation to answer the questions.
- Step 2:
The next step was completely associated with insertion of a Pivot Table by effective selection of a particular data following the pathway of Insert -> PivotTable.
- Step 3:
In this step, appropriate fields were dragged to relevant columns, rows and values related to type of vehicle and associated sales by region.
- Step 4:
The fourth step was completed by the process of developing a bar chart with proper selection of the data range with the following step of Insert -> Bar Chart.
- Step 5:
The final step was completely aligned with providing a suitable title to the bar chart along with adjusting the settings as required.

With consideration of CCC’s data, the above table allowed in the process of determining the cases of portraying the information about the sales of several types of vehicles with respect to the particular regions in from which the customers belong to. It is evident from the table that the most popular vehicle segment is ‘Hatchback’ for detailing service with the highest number of customers from ‘Inner City’ region.

Data-driven decisions can allow the business in the process of improving the overall business performance (Awan et al., 2021). With the aid of this valuable data, CCC can effectively analyse the data and allow in the case of making data-driven decisions in the process of managing the business which can be beneficial in increasing the overall rate of success.

An important recommendation regarding improvement related to data collection which can be suggested to the CCC can be based on the findings of Iqbal et al. (2020) in which it has been stated that use of data analytics can completely allow in modernisation of business processes improving the overall efficiency.
Analysis 2: Staff Performances

Matt Waters is the best performing employee who has received $224,349 in fees. In addition to this, the table also shows that the performance of other employees has not been good when compared with the performance of Matt Waters.
- Importance of the information to the business
With respect to a business, employee performance has a crucial role to play in ensuring business sustainability (Riyanto, Endri & Herlisha, 2021). Hence, it can be stated that with the aid of the information related to the staff performance can allow the business in the context of identifying effective strategies to improve the performance of their employees allowing in the context of achieving long-term business success.

Automation with use of robotics can allow in the case of improving the overall competitiveness and efficiency of the business (Siderska, 2021). Therefore, it can be suggested that CCC should focus on automation with the use of robotics in the case of improving the performance of the business.
Analysis 3: Staff Efficiency

A significant report associated with the analysis of the staff efficiency of the employees was presented with respect to the fees received and time taken by them. With the aid of the given data from the excel given with the case study, a significant table have been developed in the Phase 2 Excel that has been given along with the name of the employee and the fees received by them in addition to providing the time taken by the employees to effectively complete the jobs related to a particular service.

The information related to the time taken and the fees received by the employees can be effectively compared with the estimated time needed by an employee which has been developed by Pieter. The information of tracking the staff efficiency lies in the fact that it can allow in the case of increasing the overall productivity and delegation of the employees (Trivedi & Patel, 2021).

Training can be beneficial in the case of increasing the aptitude and capacity of the employees (Aldhukair & Abunar, 2021). Hence, one important suggestion which can be provided to CCC is providing suitable training to the staff as it can be effective in the case of improving the efficiency of existing staff.
